Railay Beach: Known for its stunning limestone cliffs and beautiful beaches. - Thaiwand Wall, Diamond Cave (5a to 8b) 2. Tonsai Beach: A vibrant climbing scene with a laid-back atmosphere. - Tonsai Beach, Dum's Kitchen (6a to 8c) 3. Khon Kaen: V0-V11 The premiere destination for bouldering in Thailand. Located in the northeast, near the Laos border. 4. Lop Buri (5a to 8a) is a great destination for multi-pitch and single-pitch sports climbing. 5. Koh Tao: Renowned for its granite sports climbing and bouldering in idyllic island settings. Located west from Krabi, about 5 hours drive and 2 hour ferry ride. Best climbed in the cooler parts of the day.

Hot Season (March to May)

High temperatures and humidity make climbing more challenging, but it's still possible in shaded crags. 1. Krabi: Despite the heat, Krabi remains a popular destination for climbers.

Rainy Season (June to October)

Heavy rainfall, high humidity and high temperatures limit climbing opportunities. Rainfall can be sporadic or non-stop for a week. Indoor climbing gyms are available in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Khon Kaen.

Additional Tips

- Regional Variations: Beware of Burning Season (March to May) in the North (Chiang Mai, Chiang Dao, Lop Buri, Bangkok, Khon Kaen). The air pollution is high during this period. Weather conditions can vary significantly between different regions in Thailand. For example, the Andaman coast (including Krabi and Phuket) tends to be drier during the cool season, while the Gulf of Thailand (including Koh Samui and Koh Tao) may experience more rain.
